Mehmed finds himself fighting on multiple fronts. He barely survives a deadly ambush set by Janosh, only to rush to his father Sultan Murad’s aid. Murad is himself under a fierce attack from Wallachians who are using explosive pots, all while fending off a sneaky assassin.
Back home, the political games are just as dangerous. After returning triumphant from the Kosovo War, the vengeful Çandarlı sets a trap for Mehmed during the Zafer Toyu celebration. Meanwhile, Mehmed is forced into a political marriage with Gülşah, approved by his father and İbrahim Han. Though Mehmed is reluctant, the union moves forward, much to Bahar’s despair.
The harem is its own battlefield. Halime Sultan cunningly manipulates Murad into exiling Hüma to Bursa, a move that severely worsens Hüma’s illness. Not stopping there, Halime now sets her scheming sights on Mehmed’s new wife, Gülşah.
